After a lot of success in racing, smaller and lighter cars, the time came in 2003 for Nick to move up to a more challenging series.  This was his first year of racing against the stiff competition of UARA-STARS, in a car that Scott Kilbey drove to a 2001 championship, winning season.

2003 Stats:

Nick finished 11th in points with 907, 525 behind the leader among 127 competitors.

2004 Stats:

Nick finished ninth in series, 325 points behind the leader, among 94 competitors.  In the Ronnie Thames Memorial Most Laps Completed, he finished 10th, racing 1791 laps, collected 3 lucky dogs for a total of 1788 laps, 389 behind the leader.  Additionally, he finished 13th in the East TN Trailers Hard Charger Points Series, with 34 points, 51 points behind the leader.

2005 Stats:

In three races Nick has finished 4th, 8th and one “Did Not Start” as a result from wrecking in the qualifing race.  He was recognized as the Holley Performer of the Race in the Blacks Tire and Auto Service 150 at Florence Motor Speedway on April 16th and won the “Hard Charger” Award for starting 18th and finishing 4th. As of 5/24/2005 he was 7th in points at 231, 185 behind the leader.
